I really don’t understand the fuzz they create in all these so called reality talent hunt programs! Especially when it comes to India I guess we are really good in copying programs like Indian Idol from American Idol! But yes, I really see something better in American Idol ….Kelly Clarkson at least proved to be a good singer with her debut album doing well! But look at all the Indian idols till now…where is Abhijeet Sawant? Where is Sandeep Acharya? I feel the same for Prashant Tamang who is Indian idol 3! None of them have been able to make it big till now! It was all a short phased fame and in no time they become a memory, a passing phase and they disappear somewhere else. All the promises they made seems to falter once they win, I guess. And imagine the whole nation was excited about Indian idol…idolizing their own favorites? And talking about the favoritism it happens all the time…at least in India! Now with more ‘so called talent hunt’ coming up like Sa Re Ga Ma, Voice of India and Fame gurukul coming up…I noticed one thing in common! The producers and all keep asking for votes keeping marked emphasis on regionalism. And we, the public like a fool keep voting for them.

Remember how the whole north east region was made to make Debojit and Prashant the winner…even the government had made all the PCO phones free to vote for them! Same was the case with Sandeep..the whole Marwari community was inclined to vote for him just because he was a Marwari!

What I am trying to say is that these talent shows have merely become a platform for regionalism and favoritism…though unknowingly. And we public should stop voting for all these nonsensical shows and donating money to the show producers. In any case it is not a place to search for talents, at least in India. In any case I feel the public is too bored of all the talent hunt shows…and now is the right time to pull off all these shows!
